Review: L’oreal Studio Magic Lumi Concealer

I’ve never used concealers before and decided to try this out randomly when i was at Shoppers picking up other stuff.  L’oreal had some new Magic Lumi line with primers, concealers and etc and this sounded pretty interesting.

The name itself, “Magic Lumi”… doesn’t it sound like it’s going to brighten up those under-eye bags with a luminous & radient glow? haha.  Anyways, I was sold.  However, the product itself, doesn’t live up to its name.

I used it under my eyes, following instructions to dot them and then gently pat them in… First of all, the absorbency sucks! It just stay on your skin like another layer and not a smooth layer, it looks like crackling foundation.

It comes in 3 shades: light, medium and dark.  I got the light and it is a good match for my skin tone.

Does it conceal? Not really.  It seems more like a brightener than a concealer.  Doesn’t give much coverage at all, which was disappointing.  I know I haven’t used any other concealers before for comparison reasons, but I know that it’s supposed to cover up imperfections.

Pretty much, this was a fail – what’s some good concealers I can try?

Maybe I’m using it wrong?  Have you tried this?
