Review: Insobeau Last Solution Z Cream / 인쏘뷰 Z 크림

I’ve been using this moisturizer for 2 weeks now and so far, so good.  It is one of those popular products that everyone loves, which is why I had to try it for myself. Keep reading for my thoughts on this product:

This is a South Korean brand that is constantly sold out because of the famous celebrities that use it and because of its affordable price point.  It was reviewed and raved about on talk shows, beauty review shows etc, which no doubt helped get the word out about this famous product.

The Z Cream by Insobeau is called Z cream as “Z” is the last of the alphabet, it should be applied as the last step to any skincare regimen to lock in the moisture and close the pores, enabling all the products to work its magic!

It claims to do the following:

  • Lock in moisture
  • Keeps skin elasticity for a youthful look
  • Anti-aging
  • Whitening
  • Even out skin tone
  • Keep pores clean and reduce its size
  • Paraben FREE

… basically everything we would want in a moisturizer!

So far, I’ve definitely noticed a difference in my skin such as:

  • dewy & moist skin all the time, so it create a perfect base for makeup
  • no dry patches or peeling
  • radiance

I know it’s only been two weeks, so I need to give it more time until I decide that I love it or just like it.

Here’s more about Insobeau’s Last Solution Z Cream:

Texture: watery, non-oily, spreads really well

Absorbability:  very fast! I usually like to pat it down into my skin after applying

Scent: lightly scented or even unscented

Color: translucent white

Price: 80ml for 34,000 WON = $30 CAD (GREAT VALUE)

After my ongoing positive results with this cream, I’m soooo tempted to try their other products, such as their super yellow night renew serum, which is another popular product that is raved about right now… hmm :)

Review: CNP Laboratory BBB Cream / 차앤박 비비크림

CNP laboratory is marketing the new BB cream.. now just with 2 B’s but 3 B’s: Blemish, Block & Barrier formula with SPF 46, PA ++

I’ve used a lot of difference BB creams and I would have to say this is by far the best one I’ve used.

I mix it together with the CNP Propolis Energy Ampule (read review here) and it gives you such a dewy glow and radiance, I can’t compare it to another bb cream!

I highly recommend this for those with any skin type looking for a dewy finish (I know some people don’t like that).

This bbb cream became popular in South Korea because the trend in skincare there right now is the dewy look, called “ggool-pee-boo” meaning honey skin? Sounds weird translated like that LOL.

More about the CNP Premium BBB Cream

Colors:  Comes in 2 shares: #1 Light Beige & #2 Natural Beige.  I got Natural Beige and I’m pretty pale… so.. yea

Texture: non oily, feels good on the skin and spreads well when applied with fingertips

Absorbability: absorbs fast and evenly into the skin

Finish: Dewy, radiant with a glow.  Without using the CNP Energy Ampule, it will be a semi matte finish

Scent: There is a bit of a scent to it, but it’s not irritating or anything.

Price: 30ml for 47,000 WON = $45 CAD (pretty steep for bb cream… but worth it!)

Conclusion: Definitely my go-to bb cream from now on! :)

Review: CNP Laboratory Propolis Energy Ampule / 차앤박 꿀에센스

This is one of the skincare products I got in my haul few weeks ago and I’ve been using this everyday with my bb cream – sometimes at night when I felt like my skin needed some extra moisture.

CNP Laboratory is a South Korean skincare brand was created by two dermatologists, cha and park who own dermatology clinics around Korea.  This brand prides itself on its strong research & development aspect as well as skin experts with years of experience.

These little medicine looking serums come in 10ml syringe-type jars.  I like this packaging as you don’t have to contaminate the product with your finger and you dont’ waste any either.

To tell you about this Propolis Energy Ampule:

  • 10% bee propolis extract: excellent moisture enriching effect & homeostasis
  • hyaluronic  acid & imperate cylindrical root extract  provides moisture to skin continuously and prevents roughness
  • B-Glucan & madecassoside helps repair troubled skin from redness
  • Geranium, a natural aroma oil that has dermatitis cure, convergence and pain killing effect
  • non perservative
  • Calms down skin that’s become sensitive by external environment

Thoughts:

Color: Looks yellow like honey to the naked eye, but goes on skin as clear

Texture: lightweight, water-like

Absorbability: quickly absorbs into the skin

Finish: leaves skin moist, dewy and radiant

Scent: pretty much unscented

Price: Around $20 CAD for 10ml jar – expensive!

Conclusions: This definitely helps with redness and I love using this with my CNP BBB Cream (read review here) for a dewy finish, but I don’t know if I’ll buy repurchasing these after I’m done my two bottles because of its high pricepoint!!!

Korean Skincare Haul: CNP Laboratory & Insobeau

I’ve been getting really into Korean Skincare lines lately (have you read my Snail Cream Review?). So, after reading endless amounts of reviews, watching videos and TV shows featuring these products, I decided to order some for myself and try them out – hey, we’re all searching for the next best thing for our skin, aren’t we?

At last, my orders came! All the products I purchased have become famous and insanely popular in South Korea through word of mouth and celebrity mentions within the last year or so.  The products are very well priced for what they claim to do, compared to designer brands that you’d find here in North America.

So let me stop babbling and just show you what I got:

I’ll start using religiously and see how they work for me :) Expect some reviews in the next few weeks!

If you’ve heard about these products or used them yourself, I’d love to hear your opinions as well.

Skincare Routine: P.M.

1. Bioderma Misceller Water
I soak a cotton pad with this and wipe all my makeup off with this gentle solution.  Feels just like water and is not scented but works like magic!

2. Biore Combination Skin Balancing Cleanser
Same cleanser that I use in the morning (Read Review Here)

3. Biore Pore Unclogging Scrub
I exfoliate with this about 3 times a week, or whenever my skin feels “clogged”. It’s creamy with little microbeads that gently scrubs away dead skin dirrrtiness.  Another plus is that it smells so fresh! My skin is totally soft after using this.

4. Origins Make A Difference Ultra-Rich Rejuvenating Cream
Same moisturizer that I use in the morning (Read Review Here)

5. HBMIC Snail Aqua EGF Sleep Cream
On the days that I need extra moisture before going to bed, I  put a layer of this stuff on.  I need two pumps for my entire face.  My skin immediately feels radiant, moisturized, and protected.

When I get those annoying pimples a few times a month, I use these two to fight them off! I’ve been getting some random painful ones on my jawline this month… so weird.

Use both these products after your put moisturizer on at night!

Review: HBMIC Snail Aqua EGF Sleep Cream

Hanbang Mein Cosmetics Snail Aqua EGF Sleep Cream // 한방미인 달팽이 아쿠아 이지에프 슬립 크림

I was buying a gift at a korean cosmetics counter and the salesgirl gave me a bunch of samples to try for my dry skin (I know, even in the summer).  One of them being this sleep cream that has snail extracts.  Kinda grossed me out at first at the sound of it, but when she put some of the product on my hand for texture, I was in awe.  This translucent cream applies smoothly, is rich without being thick.  Felt really light and super moisturizing.

I started using it immediately that night after my usual night time skincare routine (cleanser, toner, moisturizer).  Even though I added this skincare step on top of the usual (night cream i use is Origins and it’s pretty rich), it didn’t feel like I had too much product.  That was confirmed when I woke up in the morning with no breakouts! Usually when my skin has too much product, I breakout really easily.

Apparently, the new trend in skincare is Snail Extracts.  Snail extracts are said to consist of unique benefactors for beautiful and healthy skin, including collegen, elastin, allantonin, glycolic acid, vitamin E, protein, etc.  Another great thing about it is that it’s great for acne + acne scars. The snail enzymes keep the skin moisturized whereas other acne treatments can leave the skin dried out and flaky. The product claims to be rich, moisturizing, great for acne, anti-aging as it has regenerative properties, and more…

The only downside to the product is that they have a shorter shelf life compared to others since its made of  such a natural ingredient.  To keep the cream as fresh & uncontaminated as possible, it comes in a pump packaging where you press the top and the product is pushed up through a small hole – pretty smart! :)

Packaging - at 30ml the product is kept unexposed to light, bacteria because it’s in a pump-up form.  It’s in a gold exterior which gives it a luxurious feel but the weight is lighter than expected.

Color/Odor/Texture - it is translucent, lightly scented and glides on smoothly.  You can feel that it’s rich + creamy but not in a typical “night cream” sort of way.  It’s lightweight and soothing.

Price - I got this from a korean cosmetic counter in Toronto.  She said the regular price is $49 but gave it to me for $39.  This was unexpected because I assumed the priced would be in the $60-80 range.  When I went to the brand’s website, they were selling for 70,000won, which is around $60CAD.

Overall - I know there are lots of other brands out there with night creams that use snail extracts but this has been amazing so far.  I love the texture, the lightly perfumed scent, the moisture it gives me skin and the price. The cream didn’t remind me of snail goo at all – just felt like a very moisturizing gel.

Have you guys tried any snail products?
