I recently made a trip across the border with a bag in mind. I first saw it on another blog and immediately was drawn to the simple shape, practicality and the affordable price tag of Michael Kors’s Spring 2013 Selma Top-Zip Satchel. The only problem was that it came in a wide range of beautiful colours… but I had to go for black, as I was in need of an ‘everyday black bag.’ I really liked the white and brown and neutrals and the yellow as a pop of colour!
Picked mine up from Macy’s at Walen Galleria (their MK store was all sold out!) and I have been using this bag religiously since then! It fits a lot, goes with all of my outfits and the option of the adjustable shoulder bag is proving to be a plus.
This bag is made of saffiano leather, which is very durable. If you get something on it, simply wipe it off! Inside, there is a main zip compartment and 4 slip compartments – all a good size.
There’s also an attached key thing (idk what it’s called). Another great thing about this bag is that it had four feet at the bottom so your bag is safe when you’re placing it on the floor.
For $358 USD ($368 CAD), there’s great attention to details that I was impressed with – all their hardware has ‘michael kors’ imprinted on them.
The one that Jessica Alba is carrying is the smaller version. Michael Kors just released it’s medium size Selma’s including awesome colourblock designs with neon pink and neon yellow:
