When I went into Sephora to look for a new moisturizer, a helpful salesperson suggested that I try this product as a moisturizer. I told him that I have an oily t-zone and dry in other ares and I have redness around my nose and sometimes cheeks with occasional breakouts during “that time of the month”. I was really excited to try this… but it really didn’t do much and it ended up being disappointing.
It did feel gentle on my skin, I’ll give it that. BUT, my skin wasn’t left feeling moisturized, which is one of the main things I’m looking for. And putting makeup on dry skin is just horrible! I can’t stand the feeling of tightness on my face so I had to stop using this immediately. Compared to the Clinique’s Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel I used before this, they’re in the same level of moisture but this is a bit more hydrating because of its creamier consistency. Now enough to notice a huge difference though…
To tell you a bit about the texture, it’s a light creamy formula that feels gentle and refreshing but after applying, it just feels like it’s disappeared. This can be due to the fact that I have combination skin so the dry areas weren’t getting enough moisture. Time to try my next in line moisturizer – the Lush Imperialis (will post review to this too)!
If you’re looking for a lightweight moisturizer for the morning, try this but I don’t think you’ll get much out of it if you have even a bit dryness on your face.
