I recently purchased a casual dress from H&M. I love the fact that it’s super versatile – you can dress it up or down for any occasion by just pairing it with different accessories, shoes and layers. At such an affordable price point, you really can’t say no to this one (I had to get it in two colors).
Take this simple dress from day to night by switching our a Chambray Shirt for a tailored vest, structured jewelry with a bit of feels. The night look is polished with silver accents in the shoes, jewelry and clutch, whereas during the day, stay neutral with a light fringe necklace and brown leather lace up sandals.
Just got my hands on a Shearling Vest and am I glad I did. It’s such a versatile piece that you can play around with for so many different outfits! Not only that, but it’s a warm, cozy and easy to wear – you can literally just throw it on and it will instantly make any outfit interesting. It’s definitely one of my favorites (after fur vests, of course) in my closet at this time.
I’ve been loving wearing beanies this winter. They keep you warm and cozy during the frigid winter in Toronto. Did you know that a huge chunk of your body heat escapes through your head? More of a reason to keep a “lid” on!
There are so many cute designs and styles now, they can easily translate any boring outfit into an interesting one. The only downside to wearing beanies? The fact that you get hat head (yuck!)- so just keep that beanie on once you put it on!
I personally love ones with a “pom-pom” on the end, slouchy ones or anything with a crazy print.
Next time you go shopping, why not pick up a beanie or two?
Everyone’s raving about Isabel Marant. If that name doesn’t ring a bell, you’ll more than likely recognize her designs – the heeled suede sneakers, sueded cowboy styled ankle boots, and most recently the western studded & embroidered boots.
Marant is a French designer who founded her french house of fashion in 1994, so she’s been around for a while but recently became widely recognized by pretty much everyone with her success in shoe designs. She is known for her loose fabrics and urban clothes such as slouchy pants and loose-fitting knits. In contrast, she also is known for “glitzy – designs” and that shows through her line of studded & embroidered boots. They are so unique – western with a flair of edginess and femininity.
