I’ve been wearing and loving simple t-shits with a side slit detail. It’s an awesome detail that can make a simple t-shirt very unique! It’s easy to wear, comfortable and chic. It’s definitely a trend I’m loving.
I usually wear it over faux leather leggings to the front part tucked into jeans/jeggings/shorts.

The first day of Spring just passed but it’s still cold in Toronto (sigh). Just looking at Spring fashion cheers me up and gives me something to look forward to. A look that is great for transition seasons like Spring & Fall is the pleated a-line skirt.
A-line is universally flattering on ALL body types as it hugs you at your slimmest area (waist) and flares out, giving the illusion of an hourglass shape. Having pleats on the a-line adds definition and volume. One thing to remember is that since the a-line already adds volume to the bottom, keep it simple on top.

Spring is here and with it comes new trends for the warmer weather! I couldn’t be more excited for this trend because it reminds me of delicious macarons, cupcakes and all things sweet. We’re talk pastel – it was an awesome eye candy trend last spring/summer and it’s back for 2013 (I hope you didn’t throw out that mint skinny jeans or lilic coloured dress you bought last spring).
How pretty is the “muted rainbow” on the runway (above)? Along with the ultra feminine colours of the season comes another trend – the soft and lightweight fabrics such as silk, lace, and satin. Check out the runway shots below:

To me, a leather jacket is a MUST-HAVE in a any closet. Why? Because a leather jacket can be worn every season, such as over a cute dress in spring/summer or by layering sweaters and shirts under it in the fall/winter. Leather jackets are so versatile and there’s so many different ways to wear it and show off your personal style!
If you’re in the market looking for a leather jacket, first ask yourself: how often you’d like to wear the jacket; if it’s going to be a statement piece or an everyday piece; do you want it to look super edgy; do you want a cropped or hip length.

I’ve been loving wearing beanies this winter. They keep you warm and cozy during the frigid winter in Toronto. Did you know that a huge chunk of your body heat escapes through your head? More of a reason to keep a “lid” on!
There are so many cute designs and styles now, they can easily translate any boring outfit into an interesting one. The only downside to wearing beanies? The fact that you get hat head (yuck!)- so just keep that beanie on once you put it on!
I personally love ones with a “pom-pom” on the end, slouchy ones or anything with a crazy print.
Next time you go shopping, why not pick up a beanie or two?
I think everyone knows how in demand & popular this “oxblood” trend is at the moment – and a good reason why!
It’s a gorgeous fall/winter color that looks great on any skin tone and as any style. It parallels with the “vampire” trend (they go hand-in-hand) and even though it could be an understated color, it makes a loud statement as well.
